Guardian is a destination craft brewery that opened in 2018. It has 8 year-round taps and 14 seasonal, one-off, and barreled-aged taps offering a wide variety of styles that range from classic to modern, such as our “Nessie” Imperial IPA with Blue Juniper Berries. Our draft list features 22 craft beers, 2 hard ciders, and 14 wines. We also have cocktails that feature Michigan, regional, and imported liquor options. Our kitchen’s menu focuses on fresh food sourced locally and regionally and as the seasons change, so does our menu. We make most menu items in-house and pride ourselves on serving great meat, vegetarian, and vegan dishes.

Our restaurant has seats for 92 people, including 13 around the horseshoe bar. Our space is light and airy, equally comfortable for a dinner with your family or a date night. In 2019, we installed a 3,500 square foot patio with an awning covering 50 additional seats and a six-foot gas fire pit. In 2020, we installed eight 6000 watt heaters under our awning for your outdoor dining comfort.

We feature weekly live music and have a variety of events planned each year, including Maker’s Markets, various workout classes, and our famous monthly Beer School. Guardian serves as a third space for our community and a destination for out-of-town visitors and craft beer lovers and foodies.

Update: Because of the restrictions in place due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we are only able to seat guests outdoors in a group of 1-6 with 6-foot distancing. We have heated seating under our awning or around our fire pit.

Right now, we can seat groups of 1-6 people indoors at 50% capacity. We sanitize all tables and chairs indoors and outdoors between visitors. All staff and guests must wear masks when visiting Guardian. Guests may remove masks when seated. Guardian is also required by law to collect names and phone numbers of all guests for the State of Michigan for contact tracing. Thank you for treating our staff with kindness. They have an important job to keep you safe by making sure our facility is sanitary every minute of every shift. Thank for for supporting your local businesses. We need you now more than ever.
