“In March (each year), devotees of Orval Trappist Ale – and some folks who hadn’t tried it yet – convened upon their favorite bar to celebrate one of the world’s unique and highly-respected beers. Orval was the first Brett beer to land on US shores, and has become the favorite beer for many star American brewers. ( “Brett” – brettanomyces – is a yeast variety that adds appetizing, sharp acidity and dryness.) Orval sells one beer, brewed to exquisite perfection within the walls of Notre Dame d’Orval Monastery in Belgium. It’s delicious when it leaves the brewery, but also evolves in the bottle for five years or more.”

PAST 2021 EVENTS

FEB 13 – CHOCOLATE FIRKIN TAPPING (12PM – 9PM)

Join us a Saturday firkin tapping with four firkins (naturally carbonated beer) made by Guardian staff. Firkins will be tapped at noon and will pour until they’re gone or until the end of the day, 9pm, Saturday. Enjoy a flight of 4 firkin beers for $7 or purchase the beers by the pint!

FEBRUARY 13 – GALENTINE’S / PALENTINE’S DAY PAIRING – SOLD OUT!

Beer, Cheese, and Dessert Pairing (16 people per class, $30, 7-8:30PM) During this special annual event, we will pair three cheeses and three desserts made by Head Chef Abby, with 6 unique Guardian beers. Join us for our 3rd Annual evening of decadence! (All are welcome!)

All courses will be instructed by Kim Collins, a Certified Cicerone, Owner, and Head Brewer of Guardian Brewing Company. Kim has been brewing professionally since 2012 at five breweries before opening Guardian. She is passionate about recipe research, the art of barrel aging, kettle sours, and session beers. Before and after Kim became a brewer, she taught a variety of university-level courses for 13 years at Indiana University, Metropolitan State University of Denver, and most recently Kalamazoo Valley Community College’s Sustainable Brewing Program. No matter how much Kim professes her love for craft beer, teaching is her life’s true passion.

EVENT WILL OCCUR IN THE BACK OF THE BREWERY, SOCIALLY DISTANCED, WITH SANITIZED EQUIPMENT. PLEASE WEAR YOUR MASK TO CLASS.

FEBRUARY 14 – 7:30-9:30PM – “LOVE IS LOVE” 5-COURSE BEER/WINE PAIRING DINNER – SOLD OUT!

Join us for a decadent, 5-course, ticketed pairing dinner celebrating love on Valentine’s Day 2021 from 7:30-9:30PM. Diners can choose from a locally sourced lamb menu or vegetarian menu AND from a beer or wine pairing with their dinner.

The experience will be guided by Head Chef, Abby Gleason, and Certified Cicerone and Guardian Head Brewer, Kim Collins. As always at Guardian, dress is casual, but the food is elevated. Bring someone you love…could be your spouse, your friend, a roommate, or a cute stranger. This night will be one not to miss in 2021.

The cost of the event is $70 per person, which includes all food and drink pairings, as well the 5th course to-go. Drinks paired with the 5th course can be purchased separately when you register or during the dinner. Please see the menus* and other details below via the orange link. All pre-orders need to be placed by February 7.

The cost of the carry-out dinner is $50, which includes four courses (see menus below). All dinners for carry-out have meat and vegetarian menu options, and beer and wine pairings not included in the price, but can be added when you pre-order.

All Love Is Love dinner pre-orders may be picked up on February 14 between 12 noon and 6:30PM.
